The secret language of statistics, so appealing in a fact-minded culture, is employed to sensationalize, inflate, confuse, and oversimplify.

My name is Dan Costa and I founded Quanto Costa Research (credit goes to Lyn Stevenson for the clever name) in late 2012.

I have been teaching and providing advice in statistics and research methods since 2005. I have advised on a variety of projects, and have worked with all kinds of people from a variety of disciplines, including psychology, sociology, public health, mechanical engineering, organisational studies, marketing, architecture and mathematics.

I have given lectures, taught tutorials, provided one-on-one tuition, delivered workshops and developed online resources for undergraduate students in statistics (first through fourth years) as well as postgraduate students. I am an active researcher with a primary interest in patient-reported outcome measurement issues.
